The BJP High-Command has appointed Baijayant Jay Panda as the new Assam In-Charge of BJP for the upcoming Assembly Elections in April 2021. Baijayant Jay Panda was originally had roots with Biju Janata Dal (BJD) but eventually joined the BJP Party back on March 2019 as a spokesperson and national vice president.
The Politician was a member of parliament in the Rajya Sabha from 2000 to 2009 for two terms. Baijayant Jay Panda likely to play key role in the upcoming Assam Assembly elections especially in BJP Campaigning. Panda is said to be close with Cabinet Minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma and both will take the front fore charge in defending back their power in 2021 elections.
