Bangladeshi Militant Held in Mizoram’s Lawngtlai

Guwahati: Assam Rifles arrested a member of the Kuki-Chin National Army (KCNA), a rebel group with ties to Bangladesh , according to a government announcement.

According to reports,  the militant was arrested in the Lawngtlai district of Mizoram.

Reportedly, the 29-year-old militant identified as Faliansang Bawm was living at a house in the village of Bungtlang for some time

Assam Rifles stormed the home after receiving a tip and the militant was taken into custody.

He was later turned over to the state authorities for additional inquiry.
