BCCI Announces Adidas as Kit Sponsor of Indian Cricket Team
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah on Monday stated that ADIDAS the German sporting goods multinational brand has been signed as the new kit sponsor for the Indian Cricket team. Adidas is set to become the new kit sponsor of the Indian cricket team, BCCI announced on May 22.
“I’m pleased to announce @BCCI‘s partnership with @adidas as a kit sponsor. We are committed to growing the game of cricket and could not be more excited to partner with one of the world’s leading sportswear brands. Welcome aboard, @adidas,” Jay Shah said in a tweet.
According to reports, BCCI was considering a deal worth Rs 350 crore with Adidas in February. However, shah confirmed the news on Monday but the amount and duration were not disclosed.
Adidas will replace the current sponsor-Killer Jeans whose contract will expire on the present month (May 31). Prior to Killer Jeans, MPL was the kit sponsor of India.
