Guwahati: An 84-year-old man was arrested for allegedly taking 11 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine in Bihar.
The accused was identified as Brahamdev Mandal and he is a resident of the Puraini area of Madhepura district.
According to reports, Primary Health Care (PHC) Puraini had registered a complaint against Mandal claiming that he has misled health workers on different dates and places, on the basis of different identity cards, and got 11 vaccine doses, breaking the rules of vaccination.
It is further reported that this has been by him between February 13, 2021, and January 4, 2022.
However, Mandal stated that since he started taking the vaccine he never fell ill and even his health has started to improve after repeated vaccination.
Dr. Amarendra Pratap Shahi, Civil Surgeon, Madhepura reacting to Mandal’s claims said that whether the claims are true or false but it is a matter of concern and legal action should be taken.
