BJP Members Appear Before Police in Connection with Indrani Tahbildar Death Case
Guwahati, 21st August: In a significant development, two executive-level members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Assam unit presented themselves at the Chandmari Police Station on Monday. This move comes after they were summoned by the police to provide their statements in relation to the Indrani Tahbildar death case.
According to preliminary reports, Sanjiv Sharma and Kapil Talukdar arrived at the Chandmari Police Station, responding to the directive to appear before the authorities. The case revolves around the tragic demise of Indrani Tahbildar, who held the position of BJP Kisan Morcha Secretary.
The deceased’s husband had filed a First Information Report (FIR), prompting the police to initiate an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Indrani Tahbildar’s death. The involvement of these BJP members in the case adds a new dimension to the ongoing probe.
Amidst the unfolding investigation, a disturbing revelation has emerged. It has been disclosed that another individual implicated in the case, Diban Deka, had shared an objectionable image of Indrani Tahbildar with Kapil Talukdar on August 16. This act is believed to have played a pivotal role in driving her to take the extreme step of ending her life.
Furthermore, recent revelations have shed light on Diban Deka’s connection to a high-profile scandal that shook Assam in 2020—the Sub-Inspector (SI) exam controversy.
Authorities are diligently working to piece together the sequence of events that led to this tragedy, as well as exploring the various connections and factors that contributed to the unfortunate outcome.
As the investigation continues, the focus remains on seeking justice and uncovering the truth behind the Indrani Tahbildar death case.
