Boeing Appoints Nikhil Joshi as Managing Director of Boeing Defence India

National Desk, 15th February: In a significant development, US-based aerospace giant Boeing has named Nikhil Joshi as the new managing director of Boeing Defence India (BDI). Joshi, with over 25 years of experience in the aerospace and defence industry, will lead BDI’s operations from New Delhi. His mandate includes overseeing existing and future programs aimed at enhancing India’s defence capabilities.

Joshi’s primary focus will be on bolstering the mission readiness and modernization efforts of India’s defence forces. This appointment aligns with Boeing’s strategy to fortify its presence and foster growth within the Indian market.

Before joining Boeing, Joshi served for more than two decades in the aviation branch of the Indian Navy. During his tenure, he accumulated a wealth of experience, amassing over 4,000 hours of flight time on various Maritime Reconnaissance aircraft. Additionally, Joshi commanded frontline ships and air squadrons, honing his leadership skills and operational expertise.

Prior to his role at Boeing, Joshi held the position of country manager for Eaton Aerospace, where he played a pivotal role in expanding Eaton’s footprint in India’s aerospace sector. His diverse background and deep understanding of the industry make him a valuable addition to Boeing’s leadership team in India.
