Guwahati: A girl from Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh was allegedly burnt alive by her boyfriend’s younger brother on Monday.
As per reports, the girl was set ablaze as the younger brother of her boyfriend was jealous of her relationship with his younger brother. The incident took place when the girl went to her neighbor’s house in the Khurja Nagar Kotwali area to have water but reportedly, the younger one pour petrol on her and then set her on fire.
Following this, the girl was immediately taken to a hospital in Delhi but on Tuesday it was reported that the girl had died due to the high rate of burns.
She had received 30-40 percent burns during the incident. As of Tuesday, the police are yet to apprehend the accused.
