BSF personnel dies on poll duty in Manipur

Guwahati: A Border Security Force (BSF) on poll duty allegedly shot himself with his service rifle at a school in Manipur on Sunday.

The incident took place at around 7 a.m. in Tengkonjang Higher Secondary School at Tamenglong district.

The deceased has been identified as Rabindranath Sahu who is a resident of Ganjam District in Odisha.

According to reports, the security personnel was heading for election duty when the event occurred.

Earlier on February 28, one security personnel on poll duty identified as Havildar of 8 MR, Naorem Ibochouba Singh allegedly shot himself with his service rifle at Senvon in Tipaimukh AC, Pherzawl district
