BSK Leader Smeared With Black Ink In Bengaluru; 3 detained

Guwahati: Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait was splattered with black ink and assaulted with a microphone at a press conference in Bengaluru on Monday.

According to the footage, unidentified thugs approach Mr Tikait and strike him with a microphone put in front of him. Another man splashed black ink at him at the same time.

The situation devolved into an all-out brawl, with chairs being thrown all over the place as Tikait’s fans raced to protect him.

The police officials informed that the three people have been arrested so far for spreading black on the farmer leader.

Tikait had held the press conference to discuss a sting operation in which a Karnataka farmer leader was allegedly captured begging for money. Tikait was the face of the farmers’ protest against the now-repealed agricultural rules.

Following the incident, the farmer leader accused the state’s BJP government of failing to provide adequate security.

“We were holding a press conference when some people arrived and began assaulting us with the microphones that had been set up. It is the failure of the Karnataka government and police. It was a plot that needs to be looked into “he told ANI.
