Guwahati: Peace in the Bodoland region has been made possible by the signing of the Bodo Territorial Region (BTR) deal said by Jagdish Mukhi, the governor of Assam.
According to the governor, Jagdish Mukhi, the signing of the BTR deal was a historic occasion that guaranteed peace and development in the area.
The Assam governor continued, “Peace is now reigning in the BTR after many years of conflict and unrest.”
The Assam governor made this declaration on Tuesday while attending a celebration to mark the end of the current Bodoland Territorial Council’s (BTC) two-year term.
“The present government in BTR is working to ensure the comprehensive welfare of all sections of the society,” Assam governor Jagdish Mukhi said.
The governor of Assam stated that throughout the past two years, the BTC’s primary focus has been on revitalizing and fostering communal harmony and peaceful coexistence in the area.
