CBSE Declares Results 2022 For Class 12 Board Exams | Here Is How To Check
Guwahati: The results for the Class 12 board exams which were held from April 26 to June 15 were declared by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Friday.
The results have been declared, and girls have fared 3.29 percent better than boys. According to ANI, the overall pass rate for female candidates stood at 94.54 percent, while it was 91.25 percent for male candidates.
Meanwhile, 1.34 lakh students scored above 90% on the Class 12 board exams, and over 33,000 students achieved above 95%. The overall pass percentage was recorded at 92.71 per cent compared to last year’s 99.37 per cent.
It should be mentioned that this year, 14,35,366 students registered for the tests and 13,30,662 of those students received passing grades, bringing the pass percentage to 92.71 percent.
Moreover, Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram had the best pass rate at 98.83 percent, followed by Bengaluru (98.16) and Chennai (97.79) in India. The overall pass percentage in Delhi East and Delhi West stood at 96.29 per cent.
However, Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh had the lowest pass rate, at 83.71%. 4.72 percent of the candidates have been assigned to the compartment.
This year, the exams were conducted in two terms, Term 1 and Term 2, with Term 1 receiving 30% of the weightage and Term 2 receiving 70% of the weightage.
CBSE will not be releasing a merit list in an effort to prevent unhealthy competition among the pupils. In that context, the board will also refrain from giving students first, second, or third division.
However, it will only award the merit certificate to the 0.1% of students who received the top grades in each subject.
