Central Government Announces Half-Day Closing for Ram Temple Ceremony

National Desk, 18th January: In a gesture reflecting the nationwide religious fervor, the Central Government declared a half-day closing on January 22, 2024, to facilitate employee participation in the historic Ram Temple pranpratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya. Responding to “overwhelming sentiment and requests,” all Central Government offices, institutions, and industrial establishments across India will close by 2:30 pm.

The Department of Personnel & Training released a statement, stating, “The Ram Lalla Pran Pradshtha at Ayodhya will be celebrated on 22nd January 2024 across India. To enable employees to participate in the celebrations, it has been decided that all Central Government Offices, Central Institutions, and Central Industrial Establishments throughout India will be closed for half a day till 14:30 hours on 22nd January 2024.”

In addition to government offices, several states have also declared holidays to commemorate the inauguration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
