The Central Government has allowed to operate the cinema halls at 100% seating capacity from February 1. The government has issued a new set of SOPs for cinema halls to prevent the spread of COVID-19. In the new SOP Physical distancing of at least six feet has to be followed outside auditoriums and in common areas and use of face masks is made mandatory at all times.
“Seating arrangement inside the auditorium of the cinemas/theatres/multiplexes is to be allowed upto 100% seating capacity,” Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said on Saturday.
