China’s Zhurong Rover successfully lands on Mars

China successfully landed the Zhurong Rover on Mars this Saturday making the country only the second Nation in the world after America to explore the surface of the mysterious Red Planet.

The uncrewed ‘Tianwen-1″ spacecraft landed safely on the surface of Mars. Onboard the lander is the Zhurong rover which will be deployed to study the Martian atmosphere and geology.

According to the state media reports, the spacecraft landed on a large plain located in the Northern Hemisphere of Mars known as Utopia Planitia.

‘Zhurong’ which means God of Fire arrived above the Planet in February on the orbiter Tianwen-1.
