CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Extols PM Modi’s Role in Assam’s Peace and Development at Sonitpur Campaign Rally
Guwahati, 14th April: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took to the campaign trail in Sonitpur for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, where he lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for its transformative impact on Assam’s trajectory of peace and development.
Addressing a fervent gathering, Sarma expressed unwavering confidence in the prospects of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), setting ambitious goals for the elections ahead.
“PM Modi has been instrumental in ushering peace and development in Assam. It is imperative for the NDA to secure victory in all 14 seats in Assam,” stated CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, underscoring the significant changes witnessed under the current government and stressing the need for sustained support to perpetuate this momentum.
Extending warm wishes for the occasion, Sarma greeted the attendees with a heartfelt, “I wish you all on Rongali Bihu.” Drawing a poignant comparison, Sarma reflected on the transition from the turbulent times of the past during Rongali Bihu to the present era of peace and tranquility, characterized by the melodious sounds of Kuli and Keteki birds.
He poignantly remarked, “Previously, Rongali Bihu echoed with the sound of bullets, bomb blasts… but today, Rongali Bihu unfolds in a tranquil ambiance, resonating with the melodies of Kuli and Keteki birds. This embodies the atmosphere of development.” This narrative encapsulates the tangible strides made in Assam’s security and societal harmony, fostering an environment conducive to cultural celebrations and overall progress.
