National Desk, 20th August: Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has announced the formation of the Congress Working Committee (CWC), marking the first such development since he assumed the party’s leadership.
Comprising a total of 39 members, the CWC includes prominent figures like Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Shashi Tharoor, Sachin Pilot, Randeep Surjewala, and Kumari Selja.
The committee’s members also encompass Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, P Chidambaram, Manmohan Singh, Salman Khurshid, Jairam Ramesh, KC Venugopal, Naseer Hussain, Alka Lamba, Supriya Srinate, Praniti Shinde, Pawan Khera, Ganesh Godiyal, and Yashomati Thakur. Gaurav Gogoi, an MP from Assam, has also secured a position within the CWC.
Additionally, Mallikarjun Kharge has designated 18 individuals as permanent invitees to the committee.
This move signifies a significant step in the party’s organizational structure under Kharge’s leadership.
