Guwahati: Conjoined twins were successfully operated on February 22 at Zoram Medical College for the first time in Mizoram.
A paediatric surgeon, a plastic surgeon, a general surgeon, and an anesthesiologist all worked together to complete the procedure, which took two hours.
As per reports, the medical team is headed by Dr John Lalliandinga, associate professor of surgery and paediatric surgeon, at ZMC.
The Siamese twins were born in Lawngtlai District of Mizoram on February 9, 2023.
