Guwahati: A police constable from Assam Police was allegedly recovered hanging at his quarters on Wednesday morning in Guwahati.
The deceased have been identified as Romen Sutradhar who was a resident of Baksa district in Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).
According to reports, Sutradhar was found hanged in his temporary apartment at Game village in Basistha where he had came for police training.
It has not yet ascertained why he took such a drastic step.
Meanwhile, local police arrived at the scene and removed the body for an autopsy.
Further investigation is underway.
