Covid-19 cases surge in Tripura
Covid-19 cases is taking a prominent leap in Tripura as total cases increased to 520 after people from different state are arriving back home. Addressing a press meet today state education minister Ratan Lal Nath informed that on Monday 107 new cases and Tuesday new cases tripped up to 48. The patients are being hospitalized in Shahid Bhagat Singh Yuva COVID Care Center where they are given treatment for the disease. At first Covid-19 cases where minimal but after the lockdown was relaxed eventually cases increased in great numbers as home returnees are back to their homes. In Tripura there are around 460 peoples are in Quarantine centre and around 13, 048 people are in home quarantine.
A total of 31,491 swabs were taken and 29, 041 were tested. The recovery rate of the state is pretty good as till now 173 people had recovered. But some not so promising news has also been emerging from Tripura as a woman who was tested positive of Covid-19 allegedly did suicide in fear of the ongoing pandemic. The state education minister assured that government of Tripura will provide proper treatment to the patients henced they need not to worry much.
