DGCA directs airlines to strictly comply with COVID-19 protocols inside aircraft Amid Rise in Cases
Guwahati: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has mandated mask use for all fliers due to an increase in Covid-19 cases across India.
According to the DGCA, airlines have been reminded to adhere closely to the Covid-19 Protocols inside the aircraft.
As per instructions issued by the DGCA, all airlines are required to make sure that customers are appropriately wearing masks throughout the flight and are properly sensitised via various channels.
“In case a passenger does not comply with the directions, strict action will be taken by airlines against the passenger,” the DGCA added.
India reported 9,062 new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday. With this, according to data from the Union Health Ministry, the number of active cases decreased to 1,05,058.
