Guwahati: A District Transport Officer (DTO) was suspended in the Charaideo district of Assam on Sunday.
The DTO has been identified as Rajeev Chandra Bordoloi.
He has long been charged with approving fake licenses in Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh.
An order for his suspension was made as a result of this accusation.
Earlier this month, Ditimoni Gogoim a junior assistant with DTO was caught in the act of collecting bribe money from the complaint.
The official was apprehended by the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption squad for suspicion of accepting bribes.
