Guwahati, 20th August: Assam’s Karimganj witnessed two raids on a single day, resulting in arrests of people involved in the drug racket.
In the first incident, two male smugglers were caught working in a Tata Nano van on Saturday morning. The operation resulted in the seizure of a significant amount of heroin worth Rs 23 lakhs. The arrested persons were identified as Kabil Ahmed and Musal Al Murad.
In another operation, two women were detained for selling 9.5 kilograms of marijuana. The illegal substance was found in female passengers on board a night bus. Detainees are constantly being interviewed to gather additional information.
These actions underscore law enforcement’s commitment to deterring illegal behavior and maintaining public safety.
