Emergency Landing of ALH Dhruv Mark 3 Helicopter in Kochi

Guwahati: An ALH Dhruv Mark 3 helicopter from the Indian Coast Guard was forced to land in Kochi on March 26.

According to reports, the incident occurred while the pilots of the force were testing the chopper. 

Reportedly, ICG officials that the helicopter had to make a forced landing at a height of about 25 feet.

It is important to note that the fleet of ALH Dhruv helicopters has been grounded since March 8 as a result of an accident involving a Naval helicopter off the coast of Bombay.

The ALH Dhruv fleet’s activities are being worked on by the ICG to resume.

Moreover, the aircraft’s rotors and airframe were also damaged. ICG has commissioned an enquiry to look into the accident’s causes.
