Encounter in Nagaon: Police Shot Drug Dealer, 1 Injured
Nagaon, 6 May: A drug peddler has been injured in a police firing at Dhing in Nagaon district of Assam on Saturday.
The drug dealer have been identified as Abul Hussain suffered bullet injuried in his left leg. The drug peddler was shot at while attempting to escape from the police.
Police seized nine soap boxes of Heroin and the market value of the seized heroin is over Rs 4 Lakhs.
The house of the arrested drug peddler is in Tuktuki in Dhing who was running a drug racket from his home in Tuktuki.
Abul Hussain was shot by the police when he was about to flee after hitting a police constable. The injured police constable has been identified as Pulak Das.
Meanwhile, the drug peddler Abul Hussain was admitted to Dhing FRU but later he was reffered to GMCH for better treatment.
