The first Phase of BTC elections has began on Monday morning with maintaining all the COVID-19 protocols and security measures. In the first phase voters will decide the fate of 130 candidates in 21 constituencies of Baksa and Udalguri districts.
Voting has already started in 1,739 polling booths from morning 7.30 am and will go on till 4.30 pm evening. The total voters in the two districts are 7,37,795 and huge numbers of people have already gathered in the poll booths to cast their valuable votes. The second phase of voting will be held on 10 December and the results will given on December 12.
