Guwahati: Four persons were arrested by the police for allegedly gang-raping a minor in Kamrup Metro’s Khetri area.
A police official informed that the four were arrested based on an FIR filed by the minor’s parents. They had allegedly raped a 12-year-old girl in Khetri’s Durang.
The arrested persons were identified as Bikash Sarkar, Chiranjit Sarkar, Bakul Baishya, and Keshab Biswas. They were arrested on Sunday night and the police are further investigating the case.
The minor is currently under treatment as is in a stable condition.
