Four Foreign Nationals Tested Positive for COVID-19 In Bihar

Guwahati: Four foreign visitors to Gaya, Bihar for the Bodh Mahotsav have tested positive for COVID-19. Four of the foreign nationals who travelled to India for Bodh Mahotsav and who had their covid tests performed on December 23 showed positive results.

According to reports, two of them hail from England, and one each from Thailand and Myanmar.

The foreign visitors were examined at this airport over the weekend as part of a rehearsal for people travelling to Bodh Gaya to attend the Dalai Lama’s teachings later this week, according to Dr. Ranjan Kumar Singh, the medical officer in charge of the Gaya district, who was quoted in Times Now.

33 foreigners were tested, and four of them had positive results over the course of the weekend.

The official stated that all of the sick people, who range in age from 35 to 75, were in stable condition and were being kept in isolation at the hotel where they had checked in.

The official stated that testing has been stepped up at the airport and the Gaya railway station in light of the recent incidents.
