Guwahati: The Assam Police had busted a gang of car lifters and arrested five persons besides recovering a stolen vehicle in Barpeta district on Wednesday.
The arrestees identified as Mahibul Islam, Baharul Islam, Mafizul Islam, Iman Ali Sheikh and Sagar Ali.
The police officials recovered a stolen Bolero pick up van from their possession.
It needs to be mentioned that recovered Bolero pickup van bearing registration number ‘AS 16 AC 2812’ was stolen from Kokrajhar in May.
