Peasant leader Akhil Gogoi bail has been denied by the Gauhati High Court in an NIA case. Justice Kalyan Roy and Ajit Borthakur gave the verdict against RTI activist Akhil Gogoi. The Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) leader has been in jail since the CAA agitation.
Akhil Gogoi is in jail under the “Unlawful Activities Prevention Act”, section 18 and 39 and for multiple cases. Gogoi is also alleged of being having link with banned Maoists.
