Girl Trafficked From Assam Rescued In Haryana

Guwahati: A teenage girl from Assam was rescued from an alleged human trafficking attempt in Hissar district of Haryana on Wednesday.

The young girl was kidnapped by an individual, identified as Usman Ali hailing from Fakirganj in Dhubri district.

Later, Usman brought the young girl by train to Haryana before selling her to traffickers.

Meanwhile, the girl’s relatives reported her disappearance to the Fakirganj police station.

Following the complaint, Usman was arrested by the police, who later learned that he had sold the child to Haryana-based traffickers.

The Assam police with the help of the Haryana police then acted quickly to rescue the girl from the traffickers and return her to her native Assam.

Fortunately, the girl was unharmed, police said.
