Google pulls out Paytm from Play Store for violating ‘gambling policies’

Google has pulled out popular online Indian financial service app Paytm from its Play Store for violating Google gambling policies. Paytm have over 50 million active users and over 100 million plus downloads. Paytm promotes online casinos and other unregulated gambling apps that facilitate sports betting in India which goes against Google policies.

Paytm’s fantasy sports app Paytm First Games, which is also available as a standalone app, was also pulled from the Play Store by Google.
