National Desk, 22nd August: The “Mera Bill Mera Adhikar” initiative has been announced by the Center in an effort to persuade consumers to routinely request invoices for every product they purchase.
On September 1, the project will be unveiled to the public.
The scheme is expected to be introduced in Assam, Gujarat, Haryana, Puducherry, Daman and Diu, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli at first, according to media reports.
According to further reports, people have the chance to win cash rewards ranging from a respectable Rs 10,000 to a whopping Rs 1 crore by uploading GST bills.
All invoices sent to customers by vendors who have registered with the Goods and Services Tax (GST) frameworks are covered by the eligibility requirements.
Regular monthly and quarterly draws will be held as part of the project, and winners will be selected to receive cash prizes.
Invoices with a maximum value of Rs 200 must be submitted in order to be eligible.
Starting on September 1, each user will be able to upload up to 25 invoices monthly.
Furthermore, both the iOS and Android operating systems will support the “Mera Bill Mera Adhikar” mobile application. Important information including the sellers’ GSTIN, invoice number, payment amount, and tax value should be included in the uploaded invoices.
