Governor inaugurates State-Of-The-Art Hospital in Guwahati

Guwahati: The Governor of Assam inaugurated a state-of-the-art hospital at Raj Bhavan in Guwahati on Wednesday, in the presence of numerous dignitaries.

Professor Jagdish Mukhi today inaugurated the state-of-the-art hospital on the Raj Bhavan campus in the presence of Assam’s health minister Keshab Mahanta.

While addressing the event, the state health minister said, “A much-needed necessity of the Raj Bhavan was fulfilled today. The hospital will be operational for 24 hours every day”.

“The permanent staff of the Raj Bhavan would be able to utilise of its services,” Employees will be registered and given a card, and a register will be set up. By displaying their cards, they will be able to receive treatment,” Mahanta added.

“This will be a 24-hour institution with doctors and nurses on hand at all times.” He also mentioned that the hospital would include an in-house pharmacy to dispense medicines.

Sharing the news on Twitter, Mahanta wrote, “Pleased to be a part of the inauguration of the Raj Bhavan dispensary by Hon. Governor @jagdishmukhi dangoriya in presence of the First Lady of Assam Smti. Prem Mukhi dangoriyoni today.”

The dispensary will cater to Raj Bhavan officials, staff, their families, & CRPF personnel, he informed.

The state health minister further wrote, “On the occasion, Comm. & Secretaries to the Governor Meenakshi Sundaram and H&FW dept. Siddharth Singh, DC, Director DME and OSD @nhm_assam were also present.”
