Govt Approves COVID-19 Nasal Vaccine

Guwahati: The COVID-19 nasal vaccine which will be used as a heterologous booster was approved by the Center on Friday. According to rumours, the nasal vaccine should be made available on the Co-win portal today.

The nasal coronavirus vaccine will begin to be made available at private hospitals today as part of the Covid-19 vaccination campaign, according to an ANI report.

Confirming the approval of Nasal vaccine for Covid-19  Prasar Bharati wrote- ” Central Government approves the use of Bharat Biotech Nasal Vaccine. The vaccine is available on the CoWIN App starting today.” “Nasal vaccines are currently only available in private hospitals,” it added.

To examine the COVID-19 situation in the nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi presided over a high-level conference on Thursday. He warned against complacency and emphasised the importance of testing and enhancing the surveillance systems, particularly at international airports. He emphasised always acting in a COVID-appropriate manner, particularly in light of the forthcoming holiday season, which includes donning masks in busy public spaces.

Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya informed the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha about the steps the government is taking to address potential difficulties amid worries over the surge in cases in some nations.

He said that due to the recent rise in coronavirus infections in nations including China, Japan, South Korea, France and the United States, the government has begun random RT-PCR screening among travellers arriving at international airports in the nation.
