Guwahati: Six person in total have been arrested in connection with the kidnapping of Ankur Surana in Guwahati.
The case’s mastermind, Prabal Kalita, who turned himself in on Friday, will be taken into custody by police.
While Ankur Surana was being held by the other five suspects, Prabal had exploited them to physically abuse him.
Prabal admitted after questioning that he had plotted the entire kidnapping scenario.
Ankur’s vehicle hasn’t been found yet, though.
Ankur Surana, the victim who was kidnapped in Guwahati, have gone out to party with his friends as reported. The investigation was started on February 2 at the Bharalumukh Police Station after the family members reported him missing after he failed to return home.
The five suspects in the kidnapping case were apprehended thanks to the investigations. According to a police statement, the four inhabitants of Amsing Jorabat under Satgaon Police Station, Rupam Das (33), Rajen Kaimal (33), Haren Das (48), and Gautam Das (27), and the 29-year-old resident of Hepkuchi under Baihata Police Station, Azaharr Choudhury, were the five apprehended suspects.
Ankur Surana was rescued by the police on February 4 and later released with injuries at a location close to the Amching Tea Estate. Ankur Surana admitted that he had been persuaded to attend a party at the PRP Valley resort in Amching, and that on the way there, he had been kidnapped and imprisoned in a room.
