Guwahati, 28th February: In a shocking incident, the body of a youth has been recovered from Guwahati’s Panikhaiti area under mysterious circumstances today (February 28).
The body of the deceased has been recovered from a drain along the Narengi-Chandrapur highway near Shaheed Kushal Kobar Higher Secondary School in Panikhaiti.
The deceased youth has been identified as Madhav Sharma of Panikhaiti.
Upon investigation, the Painikheti Police Station confirmed the incident, indicating that Madhav Sharma, known for consuming alcohol, likely fell into the drainage while returning home. It is believed that he suffered a fatal head injury, leading to his demise.
In response to the incident, authorities immediately initiated procedures, sending the deceased’s body for post-mortem examination. Once completed, the police will proceed to hand over Madhav Sharma’s remains to his family.
The local community is deeply saddened by the loss of a young life, prompting the police to urge residents to exercise vigilance and responsibility to prevent similar tragic incidents in the future.
