Sikkim: Khelo India University Ashtalakshmi Games 2023 Semi-Final Thrills Audience

Northeast Desk, 28th February: The semi-final match of the Khelo India University Ashtalakshmi Games 2023 unfolded today at the Indoor Hall of Paljor Stadium, drawing the attention of sports enthusiasts and dignitaries alike. Among the distinguished guests present was Mr. Tenzing Lamtha, Advisor of the Information and Technology Department and founder of the Himalayan Sporting Club.

With 26 intense bouts fought across various weight categories, the semi-final showcased exceptional skill and determination from participating athletes. The winners from these gripping matches are set to advance to the final bout scheduled for February 28-29, 2024.

Among the list of finalists are standout contenders such as Harwinder Singh, Krishan Thakran, Avinsah Chandel, and many more. The event also witnessed the presence of esteemed guests including Mr. Bhaichung Yonzon, Vice President of the Sikkim Sports Climbing Association, Mr. Suren Gurung, General Secretary, and Mr. Pravin Khaling, Publicity Secretary. Additionally, officers from the Sports Authority of India (SAI), representatives from the Boxing Federation of India (BFI), and officials from the Sports and Youth Affairs Department, GoS, added to the event’s grandeur.
