Guwahati: In a shocking incident, the conductor of a city bus allegedly hit a passenger in Guwahati city on Friday.
The incident occurred on a city bus bearing registration number AS 01 GC 6339.
According to reports, the bus conductor is accused of assaulting a passenger on board.
The identity of the conductor is yet to be ascertained. However, the passenger has been identified as Pabitra Das.
Reportedly, Das was allegedly misbehaving with the rest of the passengers on the bus.
The bus driver claimed that the passenger had a verbal altercation with not only the conductor, but also other passengers.
He said, “The person was obnoxious and attempted to start a fight with other passengers on the bus. The conductor asked him to be quiet, which sparked an argument between them.”
“Frustrated with him, the conductor retaliated, leaving the bus and fleeing,” he added.
The conductor struck Das after a heated disagreement, after which he left the bus and fled.
