Guwahati: One more murder incident has been reported in Guwahati on Monday in which an elderly woman was killed in Gopinath Nagar in the Kalapahar area.
The 60-year-old woman has been identified as Anu Hazarika. Anu was the owner of the Hira Complex located in Gopinath Nagar
According to reports, some unknown miscreants murdered her in mid-night at her residence and after killing Anu they reportedly stole cash and golden jewelleries from her house.
Reports further claimed that the miscreants also destroyed the CCTV cameras and furniture in the house.
It may be mentioned that Anu had been living alone in the house from the last five years after her husband passed away.
Police reached the crime spot and an investigation into the matter is underway.
