Guwahati: A man has been arrested by Guwahati Police for allegedly snatching ATM cards from people in the city.
The accused has been identified as Ramdiya who is a resident of Hisar city in Haryana.
Ramdiya has been arrested from Six Mile of the city and the matter has been reported at Dispur police station.
Police officials also recovered a total of 17 ATM cards of various banks from his possession.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
Sharing the news on Twitter, Guwahati Police wrote, “An EGPD team from Dispur PS arrested one Ramdiya of Hissar, Haryana, at 6 Mile, for snatching ATM cards. A total of 17 ATM cards from various banks were recovered from his possession. Further investigation is on.”
