Guwahati: In an untoward incident, unidentified miscreants have allegedly vandalized a mandir in Bhetapara area of Guwahati on Tuesday night, causing high tension in the area.
According to reports, miscreants destroyed and desecrated the Shiva temple in Bhetepara.
Reportedly, a local alleged that “We called the police officials at 6 am, but they didn’t show up until 8.30 am following several calls. ”
Miscreants also destroyed a Ganesh mandir, uprooting the idol of Lord Ganesh and throwing it outside the temple, reports claimed.
Further investigation into the matter is on.
