Guwahati: Guwahati city police arrested a group of robbers who had been robbing ATMs around Assam on Friday.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Lutfor Rahman, Aminul Haque, Hanifur Rahman and Saidul Islam.
According to reports, several ATMs spread out over the state were targeted by the gang and customers were robbed of thousands of rupees.
Reportedly, the gang primarily targeted women and old person.
Notably, numerous cases have been filed in numerous police stations against the people who have been arrested.
The gang has over 10 cases registered against them in Dispur police station,police said.
