Guwahati: In yet another sensational incident, a dead body was recovered under mysterious circumstances in an abandoned house at Ulubari locality of Guwahati on Friday afternoon.
The body was recovered at the DGP Office in Dr BK Kakati Rd of the locality.
As per the sources, the body of the unidentified man was wrapped in a blanket lying inside the house.
This incident came to light after the locals complained of foul smell in the locality.
While addressing to media, Guwahati’s Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP) Pallav Tamuli said “Since we found no injuries on his corpse, we believe he died of natural causes.” “However, after a post mortem, the exact reason of his death will be established.”
“The deceased may have been a beggar or a homeless person, but nothing is certain at this time. He is thought to have died 4-5 days ago.” He added.
