Guwahati: A dead body of a man was recovered in Bamunimaidan area of Guwahati on Wednesday evening.
The body was recovered near the New Guwahati Railway Colony in Sitlabari area.
As per the sources of MyNewsNE, the body of the unidentified man was found floating in a drain.
Meanwhile, police officials have reached the spot and are monitoring the body. The identity of the man is yet to be ascertained.
The discovery of the body is thought to be linked to the murder of Kajal Das, who was discovered dead with his throat slit in the same area on Monday.
Reportedly, Das was last seen on Sunday evening.
One suspect had been arrested in connection with the murder case by the Chandmari police.
On the same day, a body of a young man was discovered in the Gandhi Basti neighbourhood of the city.
However, it is unclear whether the three cases are linked.
