Guwahati: A dead body of a youth was recovered in Basistha area of Guwahati on Monday afternoon.
The body was recovered near the District Transport Office (DTO) in Basistha.
As per the sources of MyNewsNE, the body of the unidentified man was found floating in a drain.
Meanwhile, police officials have reached the spot and are monitoring the body.
From the preliminary investigation, it is suspected that some miscreants allegedly murdered the victim and left the body there.
Meanwhile, the body has now been sent to Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) for post-mortem.
The police have initiated a probe into the matter. The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.
