Hajj Pilgrim From Assam’s Bongaigaon Goes Missing In Mecca

Guwahati: A Hajj pilgrim from Assam has gone missing in Saudi Arabia, reports stated on Sunday.

According to the reports, Jasim Uddin, a resident of Jogighopa in Bongaigaon district of Assam, went missing while performing the Hajj in Mecca of Saudi Arabia.

Jasim Uddin—who had travelled to Mecca to perform the Hajj—has apparently been missing since February 25. According to reports, he departed Guwahati for Saudi Arabia on February 24.

However, he went missing right after landing in Mecca the next day. He has not been reached thus far, and it is unclear exactly what transpired. In this regard, further details awaited.
