Hardik Patel: ‘Will Work As A Small Soldier Under PM Modi’

Guwahati: Gujarat leader Patidar Hardik Patel is all set to join the BJP on Thursday and said that he would work as a small soldier to serve a country led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Patel in a tweet said, “With the feelings of national interest, state interest, public interest and social interest, I am going to start a new chapter from today. I will work as a small soldier in the noble work of service to the nation under the leadership of the successful Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.”

Prior to the 2019 Lok Sabha election, Patel joined Congress in front of Rahul Gandhi. He was subsequently appointed Working President of the Gujarat Pradesh Parliamentary Commission in Gujarat in 2020. However, he accused parliamentary leaders of disrespecting him for important decisions and eventually resigned from his party in 2022.

On May 19, that year, Patel resigned from the party, and Gujarat parliamentary leaders were least interested in tackling the actual problems of the state, ensuring that Delhi leaders would come to Gujarat. He said he was more focused “Chicken sandwich” on time.

He also claimed that Gujarat Legislature leaders were trying to thwart his political effort to “sit in the AC room.”

Meanwhile, Gujarat Legislature leader Jagdy Stacor claimed he had decided to leave the party because he was afraid that Patel would go to jail for his registered hate speech.

Hardik’s membership in the BJP is important as the general election is scheduled for this year.
