Heavy Rainfall alert has been issued for Assam, Meghalaya from September 30 to October 2. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), isolated Heavy showers are set to lash Assam and Meghalaya on Thursday and Friday. In view of these predictions, the IMD has issued a yellow watch over Odisha on September 3O and October 1, and over Assam and Meghalaya on October 2-3. The Advisory urges Residents to be aware of the Local weather situation. Owing to this heavy Rain spell, the State of Assam, which is currently experiencing its Third spell of monsoon rainfall-induced Floods, may witness the further deterioration of the conditions in the days to come. As of Monday, September 28, the ongoing flood situation has affected 3.18 lakh people in 13 Districts across Assam. Rivers for the Next few days to avoid embankment breaches, the CWC has warned.
