Heroin Worth Crores Seized In Anti-Narcotic Op In Nagaland

Guwahati: Massive consignment of heroin has been seized by the Narcotics department of Nagaland Police on Friday.

This was informed by officials.

Moreover, five people have been detained in connection with the seizure with the bust on charges of smuggling.

Based on specific input of a possible smuggling bid, sleuths of police carried out an anti-narcotics operation at Teipuki village in Peren district of Nagaland.

During the operation, 1.40 kilograms of heroin was seized by the officials.

The estimated market value of the seized heroin is said to be Rs 2 crores in the international markets.

It needs to be mentioned that the detained persons will be questioned and further legal proceedings will be initiated.
