A girl name Devangana Kalita who hailed from Dibrugarh, Assam was arrested by Delhi Police on May 23, 2020 in connection with the Jafrabad Protest against The Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) that was held in February 2020 including north-east Delhi violence case.
The Delhi High Court on Tuesday granted bail to “Pinjra Tod” activist Devangana Kalita, Natasha and Asif Iqbal Tanha.
The Court also asked them to surrender passport, not to indulge in unlawful activities and not to hamper investigation in the matter.
